GearHost does not offer SMTP support directly. For sending email within your application we recommend you signup with a service like SendGrid or Mailgun, both of which offer free accounts.

All GearHost physical nodes are connected via gigabit ethernet to switches, which are uplinked to our aggregators and core routers. All core routers are uplinked via 10-gigE uplinks to providers.

We do not currently support the ability to create custom plans where resources can be increased independently. The plans that we provide logically bring resources together and allow us to most effectively distribute virtual machines across the backend (as well as deliver the most competitive price to our customers).
